Solving tips
Take one clue at a timeApply one clue to every name still in play, then move on to the next. Checking all 12 clues against each name in turn is slower and easier to get wrong.
You don't have to go in orderA few clues are about where a name appears in the book, not how it's spelled. Use those first and you can set aside whole pages before checking a single letter.
Count positions across the rowWhen a clue mentions a position, read left to right like a book: the top-left name is 1, the name beside it is 2, and the next row starts at 3.
Suspicion Checker
Got your eye on someone? Tell us where they are in the book and we'll show you which clues rule them out, if any.
Count the pages of names from the start of the list: the page that begins with Sasha Khan is page 1. On each page, count names left to right, row by row: the top-left name is 1, the name beside it is 2, and the next row starts at 3.
